About the festival

Once a Porn a Time is an inclusive, feminist, and forward-thinking adult film festival that reclaims erotic cinema as an art form, a political gesture, and a space for joy. On 23 January 2027, Paris—the city of love and passion—becomes the stage for bold narratives, diverse bodies, and ethical desire, where pleasure meets purpose, and porn is finally allowed to grow up, think ahead, and misbehave intelligently.

The festival will take place at La Bellevilloise, a vibrant cultural venue known for its eclectic and inclusive programming, providing the perfect backdrop for an event that celebrates creativity, dialogue, and radical pleasure.

In this inaugural edition, filmmakers and audience members will have the unique opportunity to interact, exchange ideas, and explore the ethics and artistry of adult cinema together.

We proudly welcome all kinds of sexy, erotic creations, including kinky and BDSM films. We want to celebrate radical intimacy and the full spectrum of desire!

Expect films that challenge norms, expand imaginaries, and demonstrate that desire can be revolutionary, beautiful, and unapologetically subversive—inviting audiences to see erotic cinema in a bold, thoughtful, and joyful new light.

Our guiding principles

The festival reserves the right to reject any film if these principles appear not to be respected.

We also recognize that sexuality, kinks, and fantasies are deeply personal and may be interpreted differently by each viewer. As such, the festival disclaims responsibility if a film challenges, disturbs, or offends a spectator’s sensibilities. Erotic art is not always comfortable—and that is sometimes the point.

Consent

Sexual Health

Inclusion

Consent is the foundation of all submitted works. All scenes must involve consenting adults, and consent must be freely given, informed, enthusiastic, and revocable at any time. This includes consent to specific acts, power dynamics, filming conditions, and the final use of the footage.

We strongly encourage filmmakers to treat consent as an ongoing, visible practice. Negotiation, communication, and respect for boundaries—before, during, and after filming—are central to ethical erotic creation. Power exchange, role-play, and intense fantasies are welcome when grounded in clear, conscious agreement.

We welcome all identities, orientations, expressions, abilities, ages (18+), and bodies. The festival is committed to showcasing diverse experiences of desire and intimacy.

Films must not include hateful, harmful, intimidating, or discriminatory behavior. Harassment or exclusion based on gender, sexual orientation, physical appearance, ethnicity, religion, disability, or age will not be tolerated.

We invite filmmakers to question norms, expand representations, and imagine erotic futures where more people see themselves reflected on screen.

Sexual health is a shared responsibility. All participants must have been tested prior to filming and/or use appropriate protection during the shoot. Transparent communication around sexual health is expected, and safer-sex practices should be adapted to the realities of each scene.

The festival supports a sex-positive approach that values pleasure and care. Protecting bodies also protects trust—and trust is excellent for creativity.

Set in the heart of Paris’s vibrant East, La Bellevilloise has always been a home for bold ideas, artistic freedom, and unapologetic expression.

Hosting our festival here feels like an obvious choice. La Bellevilloise shares our appetite for provocative narratives, embodied politics, and creativity that refuses to play it safe. With its rich activist history, it offers the perfect setting for our adult film festival that treats erotic cinema as art, conversation, and celebration.

This is a place to watch, to feel, to debate — and occasionally to have one’s assumptions delightfully undone.

Frankly, we couldn’t have picked a better stage.
